Yeah....so, uh. Yeah.

I had all these grandiose plans for posting a lot this last week but it's been really busy. To top it all off, Heather’s grandma passed away yesterday. It was unexpected, but kind of expected. She had a terminal illness so we knew it was just a matter of time, but she was doing so well for so long. Anyway, I’'ll be with family for the next few days and won’t post until about Wednesday. Until then… Toby update: He was outside with me for most of the day yesterday while I fixed sprinkler heads, since he didn't nap he's very sleepy today. Hounds really need their 20 hours of sleep. September’s coming soon I’m pining for the moon And what if there were two side by side in orbit

Back!

So, it's been a long while, hasn't it? Sorry about all that. First it was finals then I had a dog show. Yes, I show my dog. They shows are really fun. It's a bit of work and competition and sometimes disappointment and then it's mocking and hanging out. Then it repeats. Toby didn't win any points. He won Reserve Dog the first three days. That's like second place. Only the winners dog and winners bitch actually win points towards their championship. Then they compete against the already champions for best of breed. The winner represents the breed in the group that it belongs to, we're in the Hound group. There are seven groups total: Sporting, Hound, Working, Terrier, Toy, Non-Sporting, Herding. The winner of each group goes back in the ring one last time to decide the best in show. If that's too confusing try this. Toby update: He's glad to be home again. He likes his routine. We got him some fun new toys at the show and right now he's barking at the table they're sitting on cause he wants to play with them. like a stone I'll wait for you there alone
